KITCHEN REMODEL SHERWOOD HEIGHTS, HALIFAX
This Halifax kitchen design and renovation was completed in the Sherwood Heights area of Halifax. These clients were looking to update their kitchen with a new design and full remodel. They felt that their existing kitchen space wasn’t being used efficiently and they began to wonder if there was a way to slightly change the layout to better utilize the space. With a current design that wasn’t working and an entire kitchen with outdated finishes, they knew it was time to seek help from a Halifax kitchen and renovation company.
We first meet these clients at a home show and they had mentioned they were looking to have a company provide them with a new kitchen layout designed to better suit their life style and most of all they wanted their space to make sense! Before having Case work on their kitchen remodel; the clients had already purchased their own appliances, which meant we had the challenge to incorporate these features into the new design. Once we took a look at the current layout we believed the best thing to do would be to take out the smaller wall between the side entrance and the kitchen. Then we decided to create a larger opening from the kitchen to dining area. A new window would be installed above the kitchen sink and we would relocat the fridge, microwave and stove with new range hood. These decisions created more space for our design team to work in a custom kitchen island that would provide more storage space and a perfect place to store that new microwave. This remodel included all new cabinetry with shaker style doors in a light grey. In addition to a new cabinet door style; features such as a wall cabinet with built in spice rack, roll out shelves for easy access to pots and pans, left and right tip out trays for spatulas and utensils, and metal pulls provided a more functional way to operate in the kitchen. The contemporary look continued with adding all new crown molding throughout. Brightness was brought to the space with a new floor done in a 12’’ x 24’’ white ceramic tile brick pattern, white ceramic tile backsplash with penny tile accents, new quartz countertop, new under mount stainless steel sink and half, new kitchen faucet and a fresh coat of paint.
With these new updates the homeowners (and cat) will be spending a lot more time in their new and improved kitchen designed especially for them!
